New Animal Shelter Project
Calaveras
Humane Society is working hard to raise funds to build the new shelter for the
animals of Calaveras County. There are many ways you can help with this huge
undertaking.
You've been hearing about possible sites for the new Shelter. If you would like a look at them, click here for Option A - Government Center Site and here for Option B - Rolleri Bypass site.

Great Dog & Cat Videos
A dedicated supporter of CHS and the animals at the Calaveras Animal Shelter, Elleene Stone of Total Focus Photography, has made touchingly beautiful videos starring some of the dogs and cats at the shelter. Store Opening

The CHS Thrift Store in Arnold is now open
for business! It's located between Big
Trees Market and Round Table Pizza in the Meadowmont Shopping Center. This is
the center where we held our Yard Sale on Memorial Day 2009.
With
an early opening on October 29th and with a grand opening on November 6th, the
store has already attracted hundreds of customers with its quality merchandise
and bargain prices...

Thrift Store hours are currently:
| Tuesday - Saturday | 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. |
| Sunday | Noon - 4 p.m. |
Our adoption center is up and running! You can visit our hopeful kittens and cats on Thurs-Sat during store hours and occasionally we have dogs on Wednesday and Friday. There are always binders with photos and bios on display in the adoption center of dogs waiting to find forever homes. To find out more or to volunteer in the adoption center, please call the Thrift Store at 795-4483 or 795-GIVE.

The CHS office is staffed
by volunteers and is normally open
Mondays & Wednesdays 10 am - 12 noon
Tuesdays & Fridays 10 am - 2 pm
We are staffed by our volunteers and open for your convenience at these hours. Foster homes can pick up food for their animals. Or come by and discuss volunteering with us. You can search on line for a pet. Buy merchandise. Drop off a donation. Watch a video. These are our administrative offices and we do not take in or adopt out animals at this location.
