F.O.F. — Feed Our Ferals!

Did you know? Your Calaveras Humane Society provides food and care for dozens and dozens (and dozens!) of feral cats in Calaveras County. This means our hardworking volunteers trap new feral cats, we have them spayed/neutered, ear tipped and vaccinated, and they’re returned to their safe location where the colony can be fed daily and overseen. This prevents population growth and the spread of disease, and allows these cats to live a longer, safer life than if they were on their own.

As you can imagine, these hungry kitties go through oodles and oodles of food. Our supplies are running low — will you help?

You can donate directly to our account at Spence Ranch Feed & Supply in Angels Camp, or you can bring food (dry and/or canned — we love the very affordable Kit ‘n’ Kaboodle brand, but we’ll happily accept anything) at our office in San Andreas (901 Jeff Tuttle Rd., next door to Calaveras Animal Services) or to our Calaveras Humane Society Thrift Store in Arnold. We (and the kitties!) are happy either way!

Thanks for remembering these “less glamorous” of the animals in need during the holidays!
