It’s Isabelle’s turn! This hardworking mama dog had a very rough life before coming into our care. She arrived hugely pregnant and near starvation, giving birth just days later to six puppies that she raised with love in one of our volunteer foster homes. Her puppies just got wonderful new families, and it’s Isabelle’s time to find her happily ever after.
Isabelle appears to be a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix. She’s about two years old and is housetrained. She’s easy to train and extremely food motivated. Isabelle has gained some desperately needed weight (seriously, she was a skeleton with fur when we got her) but still needs to fill out a bit more. She rides beautifully in the car, bonds quickly, and loves everyone.
This smartypants already knows SIT, DOWN, SHAKE (both paws), HIGH FIVE (same), STAY, and COME.
Full disclosure: Isabelle chases da kittehs, will scale a fence if left in a yard by herself, and really dislikes being in a crate. She’s not destructive and would likely do fine loose in the house if you need to leave her. Isabelle has some scarring on her ears from flystrike (when parasitic flies lay eggs on the skin of an animal), but her wide smile draws your eye to her fabulous face anyway.
You won’t regret meeting Isabelle. She’s delightful!
