ADOPTED Meet Noelle (left) and Nicholas, two of the most ridiculously offbeat mixed breed puppies we’ve ever had. These two 12-week-old nuggets are cattle dog and (wait for it) miniature Dachshund. And some other stuff, most likely. We guesstimate they’ll have an adult weight of about 15-ish pounds.
These puppies are delightfully sweet but also on the shy side — they weren’t very well socialized in their early weeks, and it shows. They might not be the best choice for households with very young children, or kids who aren’t dog-savvy. (If pushed beyond their comfort zone, they may nip.) They should become more confident in their new homes as they grow to trust their people.
We don’t place littermate puppies together, so if you’re interested, you may only choose one. Please read this article for information on littermate syndrome.
