Someone left this filthy crate stuffed with eight (8!) kittens in the middle of Highway 12 (yes, literally in the center of the highway) just outside Valley Springs last Friday afternoon. No, we don’t know why they chose that particular location to abandon them, or what they thought the result would be.
Very fortunately, they were found by Levi, a sweet young local cowboy in a black hat who stopped his vehicle as soon as he saw them, scooped those babies up, and rushed them right to us. Levi has our most sincere admiration and appreciation.
The Highway 12 Bunch left for foster care that afternoon — vaccinated, de-flea’d and de-wormed — and will be old enough for adoption in about two weeks. (We have a huge variety of kittens available right now too!)
