The peak time for availability of adoptable kittens (a.k.a. “Kitten Season”) is from about May through September.
But behind the scenes, things start much sooner. We already have multiple newly-born litters in foster care, some with moms and some, sadly, without.
Marcee, pictured here, came into our center hugely pregnant on March 5. We were able to secure a wonderfully experienced foster volunteer who got Marcee all cozy and settled — and the six nuggets in the photo arrived about 48 hours later.
