Happy, bouncy little Gordy — just 16 pounds — came to us a matted mess. This guy is three years old and had probably never been groomed in his life.
He was exceptionally good for his haircut and spa treatment, and his coat came off as one heavy, stinky pelt. SO satisfying to us shelter types (IYKYK).
Gordy is a doodle-somethin’, though we’re not sure what kind. His non-shedding coat will require trips to the groomer every 6-10 weeks to keep him looking and feeling his best. Potential adopters should factor this expense into their pet care budget.
Gordy is extremely friendly with people and has done well with other dogs here. He is being neutered today and will be able to go directly home when adopted.
We think Gordy would do best with slightly older kiddos, as he’s a bit of a bossypants and may snap if he’s asked to do something he doesn’t want to do (like get leashed up to go back to his suite while he’s in the middle of playing. He LOVES a good play session punctuated by a good case of the zoomies!). We recognize that all children are different, so we don’t have hard-and-fast age requirements.
Gordy’s adoption fee is half price to a senior aged 65+ with ID.
Meet him beginning Saturday 8/30 at our Angels Camp adoption center, open Wednesday through Saturday from 11-5.
