Chonkers comes by his name honestly — he’s a thicc boy from head to toe, tipping the scales at 100 pounds.
Chonkers already lost eight pounds at the transferring shelter with good walks and exercise, but there’s still a weight loss journey ahead. While we are totally into the “squee!” aspect of a delightfully chubby doggo (because DUH), this level of obesity is unhealthy no matter how you slice it.
All that said, we LOVE this big fella, and he’s got charm to spare. Chonkers adores everyone, from adults to kiddos. He gets along beautifully with other dogs. Cats? Pff, no big whoop.
He’s likely an Anatolian-somethin’, and it’s a safe bet that that somethin’ is made of pandas and marshmallows and pillows and sunshine.
