Meet CHARLIE, MAX, PEGGY SUE, LISA MARIE & LEO, five beautiful kittens who are looking for a fresh start in a safe, loving home. These siblings came to the shelter after being removed from a property where they weren’t welcome. Sadly, it’s likely their only experience with people until now has been being chased away. As a result, they are very shy and tend to hide—but they’re not aggressive in the slightest. They’ve never hissed, scratched, or bitten, even when frightened. Once you gently pick them up, they settle in your arms without trying to escape. That tells us they want connection—they just need time, patience, and kindness to learn that people can be trusted. These kittens will do best in quiet, patient homes and loving care with adopters who understand that building trust takes time and are willing to let the kittens come around at their own pace.

All cats available for adoption at Calaveras County Animal Services are up-to-date on their routine vaccinations will be microchipped. All unaltered cats must be spayed or neutered before they can go home with you.
