Almond Joy is the final dog we transferred in from a shelter that handled a hoarding case with 60+ dogs in one house.
We held on to Joy a little longer than the others, because the trauma of being in a new environment (likely for the first time in her life) was just completely overwhelming to her. With lots of love and attention when she wanted it, plus allowing her to just chill and hide when she needed to, Joy has absolutely blossomed.
Joy is a very itty-bitty nine pounds and we estimate she’s around five years old. She adores other dogs, has been fine with cats, and she gets a 5-star rating from our pre-K “dog tester,” Bodie.
Joy does the most adorable little prance when she’s happy, and gives gentle little hand licks.
She will require professional grooming as her non-shedding coat will continue to grow.
Joy’s adoption is half price to a senior 65+ with ID.
