This time of year, it’s important to check inside cardboard boxes, paper bags, and even plastic bags that you see (if you can do so safely).
Sadly, a litter of young kittens we currently have in foster care was discovered by an alert citizen inside a box, abandoned in a parking lot. Without intervention, they’d have died within hours.
We don’t let ourselves wonder why people would do such a thing. We’re just glad we were able to take the poor kitties into our care.
