Dear, darling Clyde is a Scottish Fold mix. He’s affectionate and sweet and outgoing, and has personality PLUS. Don’t believe everything you’ve read about the mystery and mystique and aloof nature of felines. Clyde will sit his butt squarely on that book and tell you Nope, there’s no mystery here — just pet me now, please.
Most people know that Scottish Folds have (duh) folded ears. But many aren’t aware that those ears stem from a condition known as osteochondrodysplasia, which interferes with bone and cartilage development in the cat’s body.
Clyde takes an inexpensive daily pain medication (similar to Advil or Tylenol, for cats) that keeps his joint pain in check and helps him be frisky and active. He’s otherwise healthy and is in his prime at six years old.
