Electra Fire evacuees from Amador County can bring animals, large and small, to the Amador County Fair and Event Center: 18621 Sherwood St., Plymouth.
If the fire encroaches more upon Calaveras and additional evacuations for our county become mandatory, we will be able to accept a limited number of dogs and cats at our Angels Camp facility. We will post on our Facebook page if that unfortunately becomes necessary. (You do NOT need a Facebook account to view our page.) Please do not bring us any animals unless/until we make that announcement.
If you’re in a threatened area, please take a moment now to put together a “go bag” for your pet(s). Include their regular food (to minimize tummy upset), any info you have on their vaccination status, and a favorite toy or two.
