AVAILABLE FRIDAY 3/17.
Missy’s owner passed away, and the large dogs in the owner’s son’s home were trying to hurt her. As a result, Missy was kept outdoors for a couple months to keep her safe. She was a bit of a hot mess when she arrived in our care, but was also very happy to be inside and around people once again.
Missy needed some veterinary care before being ready for adoption, and thanks to our grant from the UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program, she had a large benign tumor removed as well as having 13 teeth extracted (and the rest of them scaled and polished).
What breed is she? We’re calling her a Maltese mix. She’s non-shedding, but requires a grooming/haircut every 4-8 weeks (potential adopters should consider this expense).
The ideal home for Missy will appreciate a super sweet, low-key girl that her foster home describes as “quiet, easy company.” She’s about 8 years old, and is housetrained — and will also use potty pads. She would absolutely LOVE to be allowed to sleep on the bed with you.
Missy will be available Friday 3/17 at our Angels Camp adoption center, open from 11-5. (If she’s not adopted Friday, she’ll be back in her foster home and we can make appointments for you to meet her at our adoption center. So she’s on hand and ready to meet Friday, but requires an appointment thereafter.)
