Onyx, age two, had lost an eye at some point before being seized as part of a cruelty/neglect case. She was transferred to us by our friends at Calaveras County Animal Services.
Because Onyx has one eye, she will need to be an indoor-only kitty. She sees just fine, but having one eye puts her at a disadvantage in seeing and evading predators.
Onyx is very sweet and is getting along extremely well with the other adult cats in our cage-free Cat Lounge.
Onyx has some hair loss due to poor nutrition, but it is growing back in quite nicely. Because she is already spayed, she can go directly home when adopted.
