Sam Elliott

Sam Elliott

Whether you’re looking for someone to tell you about the days “when things were built right,” or you need a pal for your next fishin’ trip, Sam Elliott fits the bill nicely.

Our Sam Elliott is (we’re guessing) a pointer mix. He’s about eight months old and his mustache would be the envy of any cowboy. Sam is outgoing, friendly, and playful, and would be equally at home on the range and the sofa.

He has a back story that is sad and disturbing. Sam arrived at the transferring shelter with a wound, and X-rays revealed something metal, likely a bullet, lodged inside. Veterinarians believe that its location makes surgical removal more of a risk than simply leaving it alone.

Sam is not in any pain and scar tissue should form around the bullet with time.

Back to the fun stuff: Bonus points if Sam’s adopter has a Dodge truck and/or will say “Beef. It’s What’s for Dinner” to him, just like his namesake.
