We’ve been calling Tootie “the un-chi.”
This sweet senior girl (about 9 years old) weighs a whopping 9.5 pounds, and she doesn’t act AT ALL like a stereotypical chihuahua. Tootie is friendly and outgoing, loves everyone she meets, isn’t the least bit nippy, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and thinks our shelter cat, Bubba, is no big whoop.
She’s been in foster care for a couple weeks getting all spiffed up and ready to start her new life. She had a hernia that needed surgical repair, she’s been spayed, and she’s now on medication for a low-grade heart murmur. We have about three months’ worth of Tootie’s pills, generously donated by our friends at Jackson Creek Veterinary Clinic, to send home when she’s adopted. Once those are gone, her meds will cost about fifty cents a day.
Tootie is quite the fashionista and LOVES to dress up. You can go nuts with sweaters, jackets, scarves, and the like, and she’ll strut like a supermodel for you.
Tootie’s adoption fee is half-price for a senior citizen aged 65+.
