We had Mulligan seen at Angels Camp Veterinary Group, and they placed a temporary cast on his leg. The surgeon who will be repairing Mulligan’s leg will be available to do so next week.
In the meantime, Mulligan is cozy and warm in one of our volunteer foster homes. He is on two different kinds of pain medication and is very comfortable. His foster mom reports that he is in great spirits.
The estimate for Mulligan’s surgery is between $3,000 and $4,000. We will absolutely be getting this done for him, but are hoping to receive enough donations now so that we can welcome the next pet in need with open arms.
Your gift to the Calaveras Humane Society will help ensure that we can say YES when one of our rescue partners reaches out about a pet with a serious medical issue. Knowing we have the resources on hand will mean we can act without any hesitation, the way we were able to do with Mulligan. But his care will be very costly, and we need to replenish our medical fund.
Donations very much appreciated! Visit our News page for the previous post about Mulligan.
