RECENTLY ADOPTED – DOES NOT SHOW TO PUBLIC

Name

Chip is just a little bit…special. Yes, this gorgeous heeler boy is a cattle dog — but Chip is a bit unclear on precisely what that means.

Nobody explained to Chip that cattle dogs actually, you know, HERD said cattle. Chip prefers, when seeing livestock, to just go “WOOOOO HOOOOOOO OMG YEEESSSSSSS!” and burst into a goofy run and chase ‘em.  And that’s why he found himself surrendered to our friends at Tuolumne County Animal Control — for not being “useful” as a ranch dog. We transferred him in just this week.

Chip is incredibly sweet, playful, and people-oriented. He loves to cuddle (a bit unusual in a heeler, to be honest) and seems to do well with other dogs. We have no history of whether he’s lived with cats.
