Newborn Sophia, pictured here as a kitten, came into our care last year, orphaned and with badly deformed rear legs. Early veterinary intervention and intensive therapy helped her learn to walk, and Sophia now lives a normal life (with an endearing “bunny hop” gait) in her loving permanent home.
Sophia is just one of hundreds of happy endings your Calaveras Humane Society created in the last year. We hope that, if you’re able, you’ll make a donation to us so we can continue to help animals who need it in Calaveras County. The COVID-19 pandemic has hit us hard financially and we need you more than ever. ❤️🐾
